Government agencies, such as the Food Standards Agency and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency provide information on recalls in certain product categories, including information on what to do if a product in those categories has been recalled.

External organisations such as Electrical Safety First and the UK Association of Fire Investigators also provide information on products that have been recalled, while the Chartered Trading Standards Institute provides a list of the products that have been recalled most recently.

You can register directly with the manufacturers, or use the Register My Appliance service below. This is provided by the Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances, and is supported by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
